WooCommerce Blikk Payment Plugin

The Blikk WooCommerce plugin enables instant bank transfer payments using Blikk directly in your WooCommerce checkout.

The plugin is distributed as a pre-built release asset on GitHub.

Download instructions

1. Open the link above
2. Select the latest release (marked Latest)
3. Under Assets, download the file named:

blikk-payment-gateway-vX.Y.Z.zip

This ZIP file is the ready-to-use WooCommerce plugin.

Do not download Source code (zip) or Source code (tar.gz) — these are not installable as WooCommerce plugins.

Installation

1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard
2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New
3. Click Upload Plugin
4. Select the downloaded blikk-payment-gateway-vX.Y.Z.zip
5. Click Install Now
6. Once installed, click Activate

After activation, the Blikk plugin will appear in your installed plugins list.

Plugin Setup

1. Open Plugin Settings

1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments
2. Locate Blikk
3. Click Manage / Settings

2. Configure API Key

To process payments, the plugin must be connected to a Blikk sales channel.

Generate an API key:

1. Log in to https://merchants.blikk.tech
2. Navigate to Sölurásir (Sales Channels)
3. Select the sales channel you want to use with WooCommerce
4. Click "Búa til API lykil" (Create API key)
5. Copy and store the API key securely

warning

The API key is shown only once and cannot be retrieved again.

Paste the API key into the API Key field in the Blikk plugin settings and save changes.

Test Mode

The plugin supports Test Mode for development and staging environments.

• Enable Test Mode in the Blikk plugin settings
• No real money will be transferred while Test Mode is active

Staging credentials only

The values below are test-only and apply exclusively to the Blikk staging environment. They are subject to change — contact hello@blikk.tech if they stop working. Do not use production credentials here.

Going Live

Before enabling Blikk in production:

• Disable Test Mode
• Ensure a production API key is configured
• Verify the checkout flow on both mobile and desktop

Once enabled, customers will see Blikk – Pay by Bank as a payment option at checkout.
